Commitment: Part Time
Job Description: The Epic Races lifeguard reports to the Swim Director for specific assignment along the swim course at Epic Races triathlons. Before the start of the swim leg of the triathlon, the lifeguard will take his or her assigned position on the swim course using the provided Epic Races paddleboard or a private kayak/canoe. The lifeguard will monitor the swimmers as they race, guiding them should they veer off course, watching for any swimmer(s) in distress and rendering assistance as needed. All lifeguard applicants must hold current American Red Cross lifeguard certification as well as CPR and First Aid certification.

Position: Race Operations Crew
Commitment: Part Time
Job Description:
The Epic Races race operations crew reports to the Race Operations Director for specific assignments regarding the set-up, take-down, and storage of such race essentials as the finish-line arch, cones, flagging, transition racks, fencing, tables, and more. Race-operations crew members are expected to have their own transportation to/from events.

Job Description:
The Epic Races intern will work with the Epic Races staff from January 2017 through September 2017 in the areas of administration, course design/logistics, and sponsorship for our triathlons and races. The intern must work at least two hours per week in the Epic Races’ Ann Arbor office; other assigned work can be done on the intern’s own time. Intern candidates must be organized, detail oriented, outgoing, high energy, and love the outdoors. The Epic Races intern is expected to have his/her own transportation to travel to and from events. Running and/or triathlon experience is a plus!
