2020 Athlete Guide

WELCOME, TRIATHLETES!

We’re thrilled that you’ll be joining us for the #RacingAloneTogether Tri Goddess Triathlon. Read on for all the important information you’ll need to help you get ready for your big day. Please check back here frequently for updates!

Please use the address, 11500 Seymour Rd Grass Lake, MI 49240, to navigate to the race and be sure you have a current Recreation Passport.  Vehicles without Recreation Passports will be issued notices to pay the fee.  For details and pricing for both in state and out of state Recreation Passports CLICK HERE.

GPX? TCX? What are all these crazy acronyms?!

For those utilizing smart devices these various GPS coordinates bring a digital map straight to your pocket. However, if you prefer a hard copy map we have you covered as you can also download a PDF! Just remember you must use our routes in order to be eligible for awards!

Note: You will need to create an account to download GPX, but maps are available for download with a free account!

Click the button below to be taken back to our event page. All maps will be found by scrolling down to the “course maps” section of the page.

All of the run courses and the entire duathlon are set-up in our special RaceJoy app! If you use RaceJoy and our official course, you get access to custom cheers from the Epic Races staff, inspiring music clips, pace updates, and your results will be automatically uploaded to make you eligible for awards! To get in on the RaceJoy fun, follow the steps below:

RaceJoy Instruction Page

For a virtual race, we do not recommend swimming outside the designated swim area as there may be boat traffic and no lifeguards. Click the button below for suggestions on where to swim and how to complete your distance!

To be eligible for awards, you will need to compete on our official course (see course maps and GPS downloads)  and upload your results by noon on the day of the award ceremony.

You may submit a time or upload a GPX. To upload a GPX first download to your computer and then use that file when you submit your results.

You only need to time your swim, bike, and run.  Because you will not have a secure transition area, transitions may be more cumbersome so you do not need to time those.  Transitions should be reasonable and absolutely may not carry over to the next day. 🙂

Join us for our award ceremony via Zoom and Facebook Live!

Date: Thursday, September 7
Time: 5 – 5:30 p.m.

~Overall and Age Group Awards will be announced as well as Epic Raffle Prizes~
