I Run 4 and Epic Races

Epic Races recognizes the compassion, support, and friendship that exists between a runner and their I Run 4 buddy. To help your buddy feel more special, we’ve created a race add-on so that your buddy can receive his or her  own HeartMISnow Virtual 5K medal. We applaud those runners who dedicate their miles to buddies with special needs whose conditions span the spectrum from total physical disability to developmental delays to autism spectrum disorders and more. Look for the IR4 add-on when you register, or log into Run Sign Up to manage your registration and add the IR4 add-on. For more information on the I Run 4 program or to be matched with a buddy of your own, visit the I Run 4 web site. Please note that IR4 buddy medals may only be purchased by athletes officially matched with an IR4 buddy. The funds from orders received from unaffiliated participants will be donated to the IR4 Foundation.

Are the shirts Female Specific or Unisex ?

    • ana January 1, 2016 at 4:35 PM #

You have your choice of either during the registration process. 🙂

Is the fitted XL really a size 6-8 as indicated? That’s very tiny for an XL. Thanks!

        • ana January 4, 2017 at 9:59 PM #

Hi Cara! The women’s fitted sizing is correct as listed. Most race-shirt manufacturers size women’s fitted shirts to be very tight and clingy; we list the numerical sizes to provide a better idea of the shirts’ true sizing. We recommend choosing a size two sizes larger than what you usually wear. For example, I wear a traditional cut small but a woman’s fitted large. Hope this helps!

Hi! I registered and ran the virtual ‘Shoe Year’s Day’ race, but I can’t find a place to input my time. Could you send me a link so that I can send in my results?

    Thanks!
    Teri

      Here you go: http://bit.ly/FBShoeYearsDay5K

You’ll find all the details about posting about your run in the section called Commit to Stay Fit. Congratulations on completing your 5K!

Are the shirts tech material then? Short or long sleeved? I may be able to get a handful of people to participate early next month.

    • ana January 9, 2017 at 9:54 AM #

Our event shirts are short-sleeved, super-silky Ts. They are not traditional tech shirts but they are made from a wicking material. They are Epic Races’ customary soft Ts that we are known for having at our events.

I tried to sign up but it says the race is full 🙁

    • Eva February 1, 2017 at 6:54 AM #

So sorry, Shannon. This event exceeded our expectations and we are out of medals. If you are interested in participating in the event with a T-shirt, but no medal, you can sign up here: https://runsignup.com/heartmisnow and choose the “no medal” category which was just added. The additional money will be donated to the DNR.
