Kids will line up based on how fast they think they will swim. We have experts on deck to help with this! They will enter the water individually at 5-second intervals. They will then swim the one length, go under the rope, then swim back down the lap lane. They will continue snaking up and down the lanes until they reach the end. This description makes it sound more complicated than it is!
Ann Arbor Kids Tri is sanctioned by USA Triathlon (USAT). USAT members must present a current USAT card (either the issued membership card or the digital version) at packet pick-up or race-weekend registration or it will be necessary to pay the one-day USAT license fee.
Beginning on January 1, 2016, there will no longer be USAT one-day youth memberships. For youth, there will only be annual memberships available; these will cost $10 per child per year. Non-USAT members who pay a one-day USAT license fee need not present proof of membership. All participants, regardless of whether or not they are USAT members, must present photo ID.
