Pedal for the Medal! An Epic Ride to support Huron-Clinton Metroparks
May is National Bike Month and this year we are not only celebrating the greatest sport on two (or three) wheels, but we are thrilled to share the wonders of Michigan’s trails and parks provided by our featured charity, Huron-Clinton Metroparks!
This Epic Virtual Ride is all about you! Whether it’s riding a bike for the first time, setting a PR at your favorite park, or riding further than you’ve ever dared to ride before Heart MI Bike is the perfect race to achieve your personal goals.
Hop on your bike and cruise through the Metropark of your choice as you complete Heart MI Bike from May 8 to June 26.
Anybody can participate: you only need a bicycle and to head to the Metropark of your choice. If a Huron-Clinton Metropark is not accessible, you may choose your own location.
No, it’s not Virtual Reality, but we promise you’ll have a ton of fun! A Virtual Race can be done at any time and any location. You can ride at your own pace with your favorite cycling buddies, whenever and wherever you like. Slow roll on your favorite retro beach cruiser, float over muddy trails on your fat tire bike, circle the block with your kids, or clip-in for some time trial laps! There are no parking problems. No crowds. No long port-a-potty lines. There is no start gun or nervous, pre-race chitchat with other participants. There is not even a starting line! Choose your date, time, place, and competition and go!
