What is a Mind • Body • Tri?
With the overwhelming number of requests for MORE Mind • Body • Tri, we are excited to bring you this special Summer Solstice series.
The three legs of a Mind • Body • Tri are…… Yoga • Run/Walk • Meditate.
This event is non-competitive, but there are some neat prizes and sweet swag!
Here’s how it works:
Leg 1: Gather at West Park or join us on Zoom for 45 minutes of yoga.
Leg 2: Run (or Walk) your 5K or whatever is available to you. You will have one hour.
Leg 3: Reconnect with the group for your final leg: finishing poses and guided meditation to bring you back to a place of grounded calm and joyful connection.
When registering, you have the option to sign yourself up for both dates! Pay only $10 for your second date. (One swag bag per person.)
When and Where:
June 27 (2 options): Live in Ann Arbor’s West Park* or virtual via Zoom from anyplace you choose with Red Yoga
*Social Distancing and Safety Notes: The West Park class will be capped at 50 participants. Mats will be placed a minimum of 6-feet apart. All staff will be wearing masks and we ask that participants wear a mask (you get a cute one in your swag bag) at all times that they are not actively participating in yoga, running, or meditation. Please do not come to West Park if you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or any other COVID-19 symptoms. If this doesn’t work for you, the exact same class at the same time will be offered on Zoom.
There will be no access to bathroom facilities at West Park. Although there will not be water fountain access at West Park Epic Races will be providing bottled water. Please plan accordingly!
What you get: (Aside from a warm, fuzzy feeling.)
In addition to all this Epic Swag our friends from Athleta will also be joining us at West Park to pass out gift cards!

What our participants say:
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Today’s mind-body tri was great! The energy was wonderful and I had a smile on my face when I went out for my 5K. It felt good to have a reason to push myself a little more than I have been. Eva, your energy is contagious. Lisa, your yoga and meditation is awesome and always leaves me with a spirit of acceptance that I am enough. I loved doing this virtual tri, especially knowing there were other beautiful spirits out there doing this with me.
I really enjoyed it even though it was 6 am start for me in CA. I felt invigorated after the event. Thanks so much.
Great idea, and an even better experience that I expected. The yoga was a lovely warmup to the run and, as someone who doesn't really think of herself as a runner (but keeps running anyway), the yoga also provided mental confidence for the run (I did extra distance and didn't even realize it--this is unheard of for me!
Thank you to Lisa, Eva, and everyone at Epic for a great event! I had been thinking I should try yoga for quite some time. After seeing a couple of emails for Mind • Body • Tri I decided to give it a go! I'm glad I did.
