Sponsor Club: AA Next Level Running Club
We love to run and just run. We run stronger, farther, faster and to the next level.
A big shout out to AA Next Level Running Club. There are making this event possible by providing volunteers.
This is the 2020 swag. 2021 coming soon and will be equally outstanding!
I did my first Tri Goddess Tri five years ago and fell in love with the event that encouraged and supported women of all ages, sizes, and levels of fitness. Last year my 13 year old great niece joined me. What joy! This year my great niece and her mom ( my niece) had planned to do the Tri Goddess with me…Not to be deterred, we did our own virtual Tri Goddess mini sprint on 7/23 at Portage Lake. It was joyous and fun. I could see that it was such a confidence builder for my niece, who started her fitness journey just last year. Thank you for the past years, for the virtual events this year, and most of all for providing such amazing, inspiring, supportive opportunities!
All Ann Arbor Goddess participants get a Goddess Bracelet!

Do all 3 and you get all 3!
The Time-Trial Swim Start
We use a time-trial swim start. What does that mean? The swimmers line up on the beach and, at the race starter’s signal, enter the water individually at short intervals (usually three to five seconds). This is an alternative to the traditional wave start where a large group starts all at once.
Every member of the Epic Lifeguard Team has American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguarding Certification in addition to basic American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification. This means that our guards have all taken and passed an additional course in which they received training in the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to emergencies in non-surf, open-water areas. Our superbly trained lifeguards are yet another reason our races are so Epic! Our lifeguards are also able to keep our swimmers safe thanks to our official SUP company, Red Star Board Company. We’re very grateful to have Red Star as part of Epic team.
All in the Family
Tri Goddess Triathlon offers our ladies two special awards divisions:
Mother-Daughter • Three Generations of Women
Spend a memorable day in Waterloo State Recreation Area running with your mother, daughter, grandmother, granddaughter, or a combination of these kin! The family that swims, bikes, and runs together has fun together, so gather your Goddesses and get ready to tri! Participating in these divisions will not preclude you from the regular Age-Group awards; they are in addition to the Age-Group awards, so be sure to create your Mother-Daughter or Three Generations of Women team when you register!
This race is sanctioned by USA Triathlon (USAT) therefore all participants must have an annual membership or purchase a one-day membership. USAT Rule 4.4 Wet suits. Each age group participant shall be permitted to wear a wetsuit without penalty in any event sanctioned by USA Triathlon up to and including a water temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit.
When the water temperature is greater than 78 degrees, but less than 84 degrees Fahrenheit, age group participants may wear a wet suit at their own discretion, provided however that participants who wear a wet suit within this temperature range shall not be eligible for prizes or awards.
Age group participants shall not wear wet suits in water temperatures equal to or greater than 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
The wetsuit policy for elite athletes shall be determined by the USAT Athletes Advisory Council.
