☆New Schedule☆ Saturday, April 17: 50K and 10-Mile, Sunday April 18: 100K and….
☆New Race☆ Sunday, April 18: SUNday FUNday 50K

You will find our general return to racing plan here, please note that it is a living document and can be changed with the current situation.

The infamous G&G course will take you through the wilds of Lower Michigan’s largest park, where pristine forests, rolling glacial terrain, and sparkling lakes provide a breathtaking backdrop for the cycling experience of a lifetime.

Given Waterloo Recreational Area’s glacial history, the bike courses will vary from rolling hill climbs and swift descents to winding curves and rare straightaways. Some of the roads will be paved. Some of the roads may be patched. Most of the roads will be dirt and rock.  Expect to get dusty. Expect to get grimy. Expect to have the time of your life!

100K: 2 loops that wind through Waterloo’s more than 20,000 acres.

50K: Condenses the best that the 100K offers into half the distance (one loop)

10-mile non-competitive, untimed: a little bit of everything!

All courses run counterclockwise, turning left onto Seymour Road from Portage Lake, then right on List.

A portion of this event’s proceeds benefits our featured charity, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.

Here’s what else you get:
GPX file for navigation (course will be marked as well, but people can mess with signs, they can’t mess with your GPS)
Buff
Choice of Toe Covers, Socks, Jersey (please note sizing is a little wonky- runs short and wide- size down)
Finisher’s Award

Cutoff times
100K: Waterloo G&G: All participants in the 100K must begin their second loop 3 hours from their start time.  At this time, the sag vehicle will begin cleaning the course and anybody behind the sag vehicle is advised to head to the finish line and call it a 50K!

50K: We will begin clearing the course at the first mile-marker, 2 hours after the last participant has started. All participants are expected to finish the course within 3.5 hours. If you don’t think you can finish in this time, we would love to have you in the 10-mile ride!

Tandem: The tandem bicycle is designed to be ridden by more than one person fore to aft.

To register for one of these categories, please choose it during the registration process.

Participants registered for one of these three special bike categories are not eligible for open-division awards.

>> Park Fees

Recreation Passport LogoWe are grateful to our Michigan state parks for the opportunity to hold our events.  In order to enter the state parks, you will need a Recreation Passport. Because of the need to get so many into the park in a short amount of time, there will not be anybody checking as you enter and it will be VERY helpful if you purchase your Passport prior to race day.  You can visit a Michigan Secretary of State Office or order online here.

If you do not have the passport, you will find a notice that looks like ticket on your car.  It’s not a ticket and is no cause for alarm.  It is simply a notice asking you to pay for your entry to the park.  You can do so on your way out at the park office.
