Friday, November 1: Packet Pick-Up will be at the Ski Hill Grill from 4 p.m to 6 p.m.
Saturday, November 2: Packet pick-up will be from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. (prior to the races) at the Ski Hill Grill
You may pick up a packet for a friend or vice versa, but please be sure you have communicated with your friend to avoid any confusion!
Here is what you will get:

>> T-shirt in the size you ordered. You may only change your T-shirt size online two weeks before the race. If you are not happy with your shirt size when you pick it up, please come back to the T-shirt table after the race where we will have “shirt exchange” set up. You will notice that we offer 2 different shirt colors, one for the women’s fitted and one for the traditional T-shirt. This is for 2 reasons: 1. Most often the distributors do not offer the same color in both shirt options. 2. It makes it much simpler to differentiate the different shirts and avoids a volunteer mistakenly giving a women’s fitted XL (fits most children) to a participant who ordered a traditional XL.

Packet Pick-Up and Race-Weekend Registration will be held at Mt. Brighton, as well as the race and post-race festivities!
Free parking will be available in the Mt. Brighton parking lot off Bauer Road. Parking spaces are marked, so please park between the lines. There is plenty of parking for everyone!

We know your time is precious, so we offer “Grab-n-Go” Awards. If you are an overall or age-group award winner (see award section for details), before heading out, stop by the podium, grab your award (don’t miss the photo-op), and go!
Marshmallow Mountain Mile and Hot Cocoa Classic 5K participants registered before October 29 will receive a race shirt, medal or running gloves (your choice) and a reusable mug to use for the hot cocoa bar.
Double Shot participants registered before October 29 will receive a race shirt, medal, a reusable mug for the hot cocoa bar ands hat or gloves (your choice).
Participants registered after October 29 will receive a race shirt (size not guaranteed!), running gloves with the race logo on them and a mug to use for the hot cocoa bar.
Join us for the Trader Joe’s Post-Race Fireside Party in the cozy accommodations of the Ore Creek Grill. Refuel yourself with all sorts of delicious treats after your run, including hot cocoa and even more chocolate!
Our friends from Tri-Covery will be there to help you recover with post-race massage and stretch therapy!
- Aid Stations – Located at the start & Approximately the 1.5 Mile mark of the 5K.
- Restrooms are located throughout the Mt. Brighton resort and will be open race morning. We will also have port-o-potties for your convenience!
- Chocolate Give Away – look for the Chocolate before you enter the Chocolate Tunnel!
- For the safety and security of all of our participants and for insurance reasons, no dogs are allowed on the Hot Cocoa Classic 5K and Marshmallow Mountain Mile courses.
If we have had a frost or snow, please use caution as some of the course will be on grass and could be slippery… and sliding to the finish line will not earn you extra hot cocoa!
The Hot Cocoa Classic 5K will line up by pace and will start in waves beginning at 9:25 AM. Pacing groups will be: 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, and 12:00 minute mile paces. Pacers will only pace the 5K, for the Marshmallow Mountain Mile you will need to fend for yourself!
Individual timing tags are affixed to the back of each bib number. Leave the tags on the back of the bib number and pin the bib number to your front torso, so that it is clearly visible on the outside of your clothing.
Bib Quick Tips:
>>Race bib is clearly visible on the front of the torso
>>Race bib is unaltered and unmodified (do not fold, wrinkle, or remove back tag)
>>Race bib is pinned in all four corners
>>Race bib is not covered (by jackets, runner belts, water bottles, etc.)
>>Your race number should be worn on the front of your shirt and outside of your clothing (that way, the photographers can email you your photos after the race!).
Wondering if you won an award?
You can check several ways:
First, note the age groups and award categories on the event website.
Check the QR code on your bib with a QR scanner on your phone (if you don’t have one, you can dowload the app).
Visit the results table which will set up by the awards table.
Check the “results” tab on the event website.
If you did win an award, you can pick it up at the award table. We know your time is valuable. For this reason, we offer grab-n-go awards. Grab your award, take a moment for the photo opp on the podium, then go!
First Place Overall Male/Female and First Place Overall Masters Male/Female in each event will receive a one-day pass to Mt. Brighton Ski Area.
Special age group awards will also be given for the Marshmallow Mountain Mile & 5K.
