Ever since the learning about the sport of triathlon, I was intrigued by it. I was an avid runner and biked and swam for recreation. It took me a while to work up the courage to sign up for a triathlon. One summer day in 1995, after pushing my Baby Jogger and pulling my Burly several miles, I finally worked up the courage to sign up for a sprint triathlon. I trained, did the race, and loved it! I was hooked.
Since then, triathlons have become more a part of my life than I ever could have imagined. While I love triathlons as something that I do for myself (my kids have since outgrown the Baby Jogger and Burly), I also love sharing the sport with others. I have met some of my closest friends through training and racing and believe the camaraderie felt in this sport is second to none.
Aside from my own training and racing, there is nothing l enjoy more than promoting the sport that I love and helping others discover that same enjoyment and camaraderie.
